Henshaws was established in 1987 and when a new business begins it is important to integrate smoothly into the local community in order to be successful. We believe that over the years, thanks to local support this has been achieved and as a result feel it important for us to put something back in return.

Effingham and Leatherhead is widely recognized as one of the leading Rugby clubs in Surrey, with a thriving membership at mini junior and senior levels, and plays an important part in the recreational side of the community. It is with great pride that we have been able to provide assistance during the last 15 years as their principle sponsor and we look forward to continuing our support and sponsorship of the club for many years to come www.eaglesrugby.co.uk

Local schools are probably the most important part of any community, and we are extremely fortunate that the schools in our area are recognized as some of the best in the county both within the state and private sector. Henshaws are delighted to help with sponsorship, advertising, auction and raffle prizes for the numerous fetes and fairs held by the local schools. In 2006 we were also delighted to sponsor Cranmore school at West Horsley with their rugby tour to South Africa.

There are many charities both nationally and locally but with the theme of children close to our heart, director Andrew Halliwell has undertaken many challenges for The Children’s Trust at Tadworth, including a trek to the Himalayas in 2006 which was done with Debbie Richardson, Henshaws lettings manager, and a number of charity runs including the BUPA Great North Run, BUPA Great South run in 2007 and the Flora London Marathon in 2008 all in aid of The Children’s Trust www.thechildrenstrust.org.uk
